Every component in the RitePro architecture is designed to provide customers with a secure, flexible, scalable, and highly available solution on which they can readily store and access product data management information.

THIN CLIENT DESIGN

RitePro™ installs as a server only application with the Internet Browser as the client. It can be installed at the Customer's site or can be hosted by QuadRite. Customers can access RitePro™ on any computer from any location through an Internet Browser with proper security controls.

HTTP/SSL

SSL 3.0 provides an encrypted connection between the RitePro servers and client browsers. The SSL connection will also authenticate the RitePro server. The SSL connection can also provides an extra level of security by ensuring that only authenticated users are allowed to download information from RitePro. If desired customers can access RitePro through  a VPN solution as well.

SECURE FILE TRANSFER

Secure file transfers allow customers to encrypt and compress all data being transferred to and from the RitePro servers. QuadRite guarantees delivery of data between RitePro and the customer desktop, and provides a status bar so users can monitor the progress of large design files transfers.

FIREWALL & RITESECURITY

The RitePro security architecture is designed with the objective of total customer security. RitePro™ operates within the firewalls of a company and can be accessed only with proper authorization and authentication.

QuadRite has also developed an application-level security architecture, ensuring that only authorized users can access sensitive data. Customers decide who has access to their RitePro data and at what level. The RitePro™ system administrator assigns every user to a specific role that identifies which system capabilities they can access. RitePro™ can integrate with a customer's  LDAP server to access authentication and authorization information.

BUSINESS LOGIC LAYER

The Business Logic Layer includes business rules and process models based on QuadRite’s many years of industry experience in PDM and NPI domains. Each component can be extended and integrated with other components and applications from customers and partners.

APPLICATION SERVERS

RitePro application servers are designed to optimize performance and reliability by providing additional load balancing, connection pooling, caching and other capabilities.

PLM and QMS PRODUCTS

RitePro™ integrates a leading edge PLM and Quality Management System (QMS). Customers can easily store, edit, and share their PLM and QMS data, maintaining a single master of the data in the RitePro™ vault.

VIEWING PRODUCTS

RitePro data viewers have zero administration impact on clients and support the thin-client architecture. The viewers run on multiple client operating systems, do not require changes to customer firewalls, and support most common data formats.

PERSISTENCE LAYER AND DATABASE SERVERS

QuadRite has implemented an object-to-relational-database mapping-layer on top of commercial mapping products and database engines. This allows the RitePro solution to be developed in a component-based architecture yet persist its objects in relational databases.

OTHER ARCHITECTURAL COMPONENTS

SSL accelerator - RitePro employs an SSL accelerator to enhance the performance of the secured traffic between users desktop and the RitePro servers.
